Dying is one experience everyone goes through and there is only one chance to do it right. When we come into this world a mother has 9 months to consult friends, take classes, read books, and get ready for a new life.
Like the beginning, we believe the end, too, should be sacred, supported, and planned. We believe that everyone deserves a death doula. We offer practical, emotional, nonmedical support to the dying and their loved ones.
Our mission is to offer awareness, presence, and compassion to individuals and families coping with illness and death; to educate and advocate for them; to be a voice for those experiencing life’s inevitabilities; to guide with compassion, and offer spiritual support during an uncertain time. Most importantly, we wish to help the terminally ill achieve peace with dying. We can’t change the destination, but we can improve the journey by living authentically through illness to the last breath and beyond.
